Instrumental Soul
The rhythm and horn sections of Sublunar Minds put forth groove into the world as the Sublunarites. Their self titled EP serves up some greasy, groovy, jazz-funk instrumentals in the vein of Booker T, The Meters, and Dr Lonnie Smith. The stellar line up features Joe Ancowitz on trumpet, Geoff Countryman on alto, Greg Sanderson on tenor, James Preston on bass, Dave Previ on drums, and Ben Cockerham on hammond and wurlitzer. Recorded at The Bunker and mastered by Nick Afflito.
